Ryan's POV As we prepared for school, I offered Clarabell a ride, trying to sound nonchalant. "I could drop you off at school if you want." She looked at me warily, but her casual "okay" sent a spark through me. On the ride, memories of our kiss flooded my mind. Her lipstick's sweet taste lingered, and I craved another taste yet again. The journey felt longer than usual, allowing me to steal glances at her lips. I silently prayed we'd get paired for the project, my eyes locking onto hers whenever possible. Though she caught my gaze a few times, her expression didn't betray her thoughts. Her phone drew her attention, and her smiles infuriated me. Who was captivating her attention when she was with me?
