Next Day

Jungyu’s Pov

It's 8 o'clock in the morning, I was still lying in bed with eyes open

I couldn't sleep all night, because I was regretting what I had said to her

I kept thinking about her, how hurt she was because of my stupid words

did she cry a lot?

I sighed, I was so sorry for that.

I got up, went to the bathroom for a shower

After that, I got out of my room wanting to know about her condition, I peeked into her room but I didn't see her inside then I walked downstairs

As I walked down the stairs, I saw her, she was busy in the kitchen, maybe making breakfast or something.

She glanced at me but just looked away after that

It was hurting me so much, I know she might possibly hate me

I tried to be calm, I wanted to talk to her, I wanted to apologize to her

I walked closer to her

" Breakfast is ready, let's eat, " she said as I reached the dining table

But her tone was cold

I took a seat and she did the same too then we just ate silently

I was enjoying the food, but my eyes caught something, I saw a big black bag on the side of her chair

I didn't know what it was

" I'm going to Busan, to see my dad, " she said

" What? When? " I was a bit shocked

" After I finish eating, I'll be leaving, " she said coldly

I was just stunned, I didn't know how to responds to this

there was just one thing I was thinking about, was is she that mad at me? or maybe hated me? So she decided to go to Busan, to avoid me

I was just so stunned I wasn't able to form any words about it so, I just sat there

15 minutes later

She stood up, washing the dish then after that she came to me

" I gotta go, take care of yourself, bye, " she said then left

I stood up, chased her, grabbed her wrist then took her to the car

" Yah, what are you doing? " she asked in confusion

I didn't answer then just turned on the engine and start driving

she just stayed in silent while I was driving

it was so awkward, and I didn't know what to say

" I'm sorry, " I said

" For what I said yesterday, for hurting you " I sighed

" I was so... " I stopped my sentence

" stupid of me, " I said

But she didn't answer

" I'm really sorry, I'll never do that again, " I said, I was waiting for an answer

" It's okay, me too, I'm sorry for lying to you too, I should have told you the truth when you asked me the first time but I just didn't want to make you worry, " she said

I let out a sigh of relief, finally, she replied

" So, are you not going to ask about my job? because I haven't answered your question last night " I said

" I want to know what you're doing, I always wondered, it was a good or bad thing, but whatever it is, I know you have a reason for it, you do not have to tell me if you're not ready, I'll just wait until you're ready to tell me all the truth " she replied

I was shocked, to hear her words, I was so wrong, I hurt her feelings, but she tried to understand me, understand my situation, I know she was curious about my work, especially after seeing the blood on my shirt, but she did not ask me anything

" Thank you, I don't know what to say to you, but thank you, " I said

" No problem, but where are we going? " she asked

" Busan " I looked at her then smiled

she looked at me in disbelief

I nodded, then she smiled

She looked so happy, my heart was beating so fast when I saw her smile

I didn't know what kind of feeling it was, I just wanted to protect her and keep her safe under my protection

At Busan

Nara’s Pov

I never planned this, to go to Busan with him, but anyway, I was so grateful

We arrived at Busan, I walked to the front door of my Grandma's house then knocked on

Not long after, the door was opened

" Dad, " I said as soon as I saw him and gave him a hug

" I missed you so much, " I said

" Me too " he replied while caressing my back

" Darling, I think you should release your arms, and tell me about the handsome guy who's standing behind you " he whispered

I let go of my arms at once, I almost forgot that I came with jungyu

" Oh, I'm sorry, Dad, he's jungyu and he's my... " I stopped my sentence, I do not know what to say to my dad, because I do not know what kind of relationship that I have with him

" Boss " the words came out of my mouth just like that

" Hi Sir. my name is jungyu, nice to meet you " he bowed, and held out his hand

" I'm Yoon Ji-Kwon, I'm Nara’s father, nice to meet you son " he grabbed jungyu’s hand then shook it

" Let's get in, " my dad said then we went inside the house

We sat on the couch in the living room

" I'll make a drink, " I said then went to the kitchen

" So you are Nara’s boss? " my dad asked

I could hear them talking because the kitchen was not far from the living room

" Hmm, yes maybe, but I prefer being as Nara’s friend " jungyu replied

I didn't know what happened to me, but I smiled when I heard his words

" Ah, so you both are pretty close, I'm so grateful that my daughter has a boss as well as a friend who can take care of her, my daughter doesn't have anyone in Seoul, and I'm very worried because of that, " my dad said

" Do not worry sir, I'll take care of her " jungyu replied

My heart jumped as I heard jungyu’s sentence

My heart was beating so fast, I loved to hear that, it was shocking this was the first time for me to hear such words, that there was a guy who will take care of me

" Thank you so much, but she did not bother you right? " my dad asked

" No Dad, of course not, you know, you have a good daughter " I replied I as I returned to them while bringing the drink

" Yes sir, she never bothered me at all " jungyu replied

I glanced at him, our eyes met, then my heart beating like crazy

" But where is grandma? " I asked, avoiding from embarrassment creeping on me.

" She's still at the restaurant, she will be home at night " my dad replied then I nodded.

" Take rest, you must be tired, make yourself comfortable, I will go to the room because my body is not as strong as before " my dad patted jungyu’s shoulder.

" Honey, can you take me to the room? " my dad asked.

" I'll do it, " jungyu’s said, offering his self.

He was so caring, and I was thankful .

Then he took my dad to the room.

Not long after jungyu came to me.

" Is he asleep? " I asked.

" Hmm, I helped him to the bed, then he slept " he replied.

" Thank you, " I said.

" No problem, " he said.

" You must be tired, you should rest, you can sleep in my room, follow me, " I said then I lead him to my room.

" My room is not as big as yours, I hope you do not mind, just sleep, I'll wake you up at dinner time, " I said.

" Thanks " he replied.

Then I just went to the kitchen for preparing dinner.

Dinner time

We all gathered at the table, my grandmother was there too, she really liked jungyu, she always praising his good looks.

After finishing dinner, I stayed in the kitchen for washing the dishes

My grandma went to her room after eating, I knew she was tired.

While my Dad was chatted with jungyu in the backyard.

Jungyu’s Pov

I couldn't believe this, I was at her house, and now I'm chatting with her dad, it's like a dream, I never planned this, but I was happy that I got to do this

" Ahh, my daughter has grown, so beautiful, she just looks like her Mom, just by looking at her, It seemed to see my wife, I miss her so much, " he said in a sad tone

" I'm so sorry for that, Nara told me that she lost her mother 2 years ago, " I said

" She told you about that? Wahh, I think you both have a special relationship, she never tells anyone about her mother, I'm sure you are a special person for her, that's why she told you about her mother " he said

I was silent, processing his words, is it true? what he just said? is it true that I am a special person for her?

for some reason, I wanted to be someone special to her

" But sir if you don't mind, can you tell me about how your wife died? " I asked

" Of course son, I'll tell you everything if you want to know " he smiled

I didn't know how to respond to this, I couldn't believe it, Nara must be sad and also angry, I couldn't imagine what I would have done if I was in her position

I tried to process all this, this was so odd, I knew something was wrong

a thought flashed through my head, I had to find something, and I'll find it out whatever it takes.
