Claire’s POV
After cleaning the bed, she tidied the room and vacuumed the floor.
She was about to finish the whole room when Gina came out of the comfort room.
“I’m done with the——,woooow!” Gina exclaimed! “You’re getting better and better each day, Claire. I think you don’t need me anymore.” Gina said.
“I still need you, Gina! I’m so glad that you are my trainer. Thank you so much.” Claire said.
“What a sweet talker! You’re not even a guy! Let us go and clean the other assigned room separately, okay?” Gina said.
“Okay!” Claire said
She took her cart and went to the next room.
She knocked on the door but no one answered, so she used her key card and entered the room.
She opened the door and was greeted with darkness.
She opened the lights and roamed her gaze to check the room.
Claire sighed and started making up the room.
After vacuuming the floor and cleaning the comfort room, she went to the master’s bedroom.
She opened the door and was greeted with a very manly scent mixed with a strong smell of alcohol.
She started coughing because of the smell.
She stopped when she felt something moved.
She hurriedly search the button and turned the lights on.
As soon as she opened the lights of the room, she saw a half-naked man sitting on his bed.
He was drinking alone.
He looked sad and crying, and he was murmuring something.
According to her trainer, she shouldn't bother their guest when they are drunk because something might happen, but there's something that's telling her to approach the man.
So, she talked to him.
"Sir, are you alright? Do you need anything?" Claire said.
But the man didn't answer.
So, Claire decided to ignore him and started cleaning.
She picked up the bottles and other dirt on the floor.
She was about to leave when she saw the man suddenly collapse.
Claire gasped. She ran towards him.
"Sir? Sir?" Claire was gentle shaking the man.
"Are you alright, Sir?" Claire is panicking. She didn’t know what to do, and she was about to call Gina when suddenly the man cried and hugged her.
Claire was too stunned to move.
“Si-sir?”
When she felt the man was not moving, she pushed him away from her.
She heard a loud noise coming from the bed.
“OhMG!” Claire said.
The man hit his head on the bed!
"Aw! Who--!” The man looked at her. “What do you think you’re doing!”
"I'm...I'm ... I was just ... I’m very sorry, Sir. I didn't mean to. I'm really sorry, Sir.” Claire said apologetically.
Claire looked at the man. He was touching the back of his head, and she heard him curse when he felt the sting from the incident.
“Aw! F*ck!”
But instead of helping the guest, Claire just stared at the man.
He just hugged me! Why did he do that! I have to go! I need to go!
But her body is not following what her mind is saying. She can’t! She was too stunned to move!
Claire was still looking at the man when the man looked in her direction!
From fear to mesmerization. That was what Claire felt when she saw the man.
Claire was mesmerized by the man’s beauty.
The side view of the guy is just so perfect, and his aristocratic nose feels like a well-known artist sculpted it. Even his lashes are so thick I want to steal them from him. His eyes are as blue as the ocean---
She stopped her thought when the man moved and stood up. At the same time, she is still sitting on the bed.
The man looked at her. The moment their eyes met, Claire saw a lot of emotions in his eyes.
Contempt.
Confusion.
Love.
Claire came back to reality when he saw the man’s last emotion.
Why is he looking at me like that? As far as I can remember, I did something terrible to you! I mean! It’s your fault why you got hurt! Like---
"Grace?" The man said lovingly.
Claire’s thought was cut off.
She was shocked by what the man said.
Grace?
She cleared her throat before answering.
"No, Sir, I am not Grace. I’m Claire, a housekeeping attendant. I was cleaning your room when I saw you. And then I approached you because I thought you needed help, and I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, sir. I'll just, ahm, continue what I have been doing. Thank you.” Claire bravely said.
She stood up from the bed, but the man stopped her.
He held her on her shoulders to stop her from standing up.
"Grace," The man repeated.
"Sorry, but I am not Grace, Sir. I am Claire!” Claire said furiously!
