Claire POV Claire and Vladimir’s pictorial ended. Vladimir is holding her hand and leading her towards somewhere. After a while, they reach the garden at the back of the Boutique, where they get their wedding dress and suit. She looked around and saw her family near the altar. It’s a garden wedding! The priest is waiting for them in front. The guests who are present are her family on the left side and the woman on the right side. She looked at Vladimir to ask who the woman is but he wasn’t looking at her but her family. She saw her mom and dad stand up and walk towards them. After a while, her parents reached them. “Ma’am and Sir, I am very sorry that we just came.” “It’s okay. We did not wait that long.” Her dad said “And you need to call us Mama and Papa, not Ma’am and Sir,” Her mom said. “Ma, we are not married yet,” “But, you will be, so why not let him call us Mama and Papa now, right?” “Okay, Ma and Pa,” Vladimir said. Claire was stunned. Why is it that when he called my parents Ma and Pa, it felt like the most normal thing that happened in his life? “Sis! Congratulations!” Her sister said. “And by the way, who’s that woman?” Her sister asked and pointed her lips towards the woman. She looked at the person her sister pointed out. She can’t see the woman’s face because of her hair. And as if on cue, the woman looked at them, and she was so shocked because it was the reason why all of these things happened. Grace. Why is she here? Did he invite her? She looked at Vladimir, but he wasn’t looking at the woman, but her. He did not answer her sister’s question. So, he directly asked him. “Who is she?” Claire asked while looking at his eyes. “Who?” He then looked at the woman. “Her? Let’s say I know her. My family can’t come, but she told me that she can, so I invited her.” He invited her? But, why? Is he already cheating on me? I mean, Claire sighed. The wedding started, she was now walking in the aisle. She looked at Grace, then Vladimir. She stopped walking while looking at Vladimir. Should I really marry this man? Is he worthy of my love? “Claire, Claire,” Claire heard her mom’s voice whispering while calling her attention. My family is here. I had already told them that I would marry this man. I should marry this man. She started walking towards the altar, still not breaking eye contact with Vladimir. She arrived at the altar, and the wedding ceremony started. Vladimir and Claire are now exchanging their vows. "I, Claire, take you,” Claire stopped from talking. She sighed. “I, Claire, take you Vladimir to be my husband. I promise to be true to you in good times, in sickness, and health. I will love and honor you all the days of my life." Claire said without looking at Vladimir’s eyes. Vladimir spoke his vow. “I, Vladimir,” and I touched her face and slowly her chin and made her look up at him. “Take you, Claire, as my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times, in sickness, and health. I will love and honor you all the days of my life.” The priest joined their hands together, blessed them, and asked, "Do you take Vladimir as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" With a heavy heart, Claire answered. “ I…I do,” without looking at Vladimir’s eyes. "Do you take Claire as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" Vladimir touched her chin again and gently pulled her to look at him. “I do,” Vladimir said sincerely. Her sister gave them their ring and put their rings on each other. Claire was just looking at the ring and not towards Vladimir. “You may now kiss the bride,” Vladimir pulled up her veil and looked at pulled her chin up. He looked at her face with admiration in his eyes. He was about to kiss her when she turned her face around, and his kiss landed on her cheek. He pulled himself, and Claire saw hurt in his eyes. He did not try kissing her on the lips and let go of her chin, and hurt is still visible in his eyes. So, without thinking, Claire touched Vladimir’s face and slowly pulled him towards her. Their faces are now an inch away from each other. He waited for Vladimir to kiss her, but he did not. So, Claire slowly closed her eyes and tiptoed her feet, and kissed him on his lips. She was about to let go when Vladimir slowly kissed her back. He held her inside his arms and kissed her After a while, he slowly let go of her lips. A smile formed his lips. He then whispered in her ears. “You are mine now,” She was shocked by what he said. She looked at him in his eyes. “Finally, I get to see your lovely eyes,” Vladimir said lovingly. Why is he acting this way? Then the realization hit her. Is it because of that woman? She was about to looked at the woman’s direction but the priest cleared his throat. Vladimir slowly let go of her. "Go in peace with Christ," Ghe priest said. "Thanks be to God." Vladimir and Claire answered.
