Chapter 25 Jess Taylor Making it downstairs without my parents hearing us was such a relief. Seeing as they were next door, I was certain they were going to hear us sneaking off. But, neither of my parents had ever had great hearing, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that we weren't busted. Getting a cab, on the other hand, proved to be a much harder task.
