"Yes, I was the one that ordered for the tunnel to be dug!" The old man cried out and my hand holding the sword dropped.
"It was as if I was asking for much, all these would have been avoided if you just told the truth from the beginning." I said to him and he was already sobbing in pain from the wound I inflicted on him.
"Take some warriors to his house, tell his family to clear all their treasure or they will have his dead body sent back to them immediately." I commanded the guard that was standing next to me.
"But your Highness, I have told the truth." The old man cried out.
"The truth is you want to kill me or you killed my late father. Isn't that punishable by death?" I asked and he burst out crying, well that serves him right.
