Chapter 83 Suspicion

889 Words

Charlotte looked up and met Ethan's eyes, a defiant glint in her gaze. "If you don't mind the trouble, then okay." Ethan remained unfazed. "It's no trouble." He walked ahead first. Charlotte followed him and got into the car. "What's your address?" Ethan asked calmly as he fastened his seatbelt. Charlotte gave an address, one that wasn't her registered address but was not far from there. Ethan drove for a few minutes before they arrived. When the car stopped, Ethan glanced out the window. Charlotte lived in a lively neighborhood. The night was still young, and they could still see elderly people walking with their grandchildren. There were quite a few people enjoying their night out there. "Do you live alone?" Ethan looked at her and asked. Charlotte nodded. "Yes, I live alone."
