Ava was stunned when she received the message, quickly realizing the imprudence of having sent that photo to Charlotte. Charlotte had deliberately chosen to study overseas as a means to distance herself from any news of Ethan, to grant herself the time and space necessary to gradually release her attachments to him.. Yet, unknowingly, Ava had been unsettling her peace.
Ava promptly messaged Charlotte with an “okay”. There were no extra words, but as they were close, Ava knew that Charlotte was not angry and did not need her apology. All they needed was communication.
