The Promise

Valerie was a 10th grade student she was very beautiful ,she was just 16 years when she started dating Kyle her childhood friend,they really loved each other and promised not to leave each other no matter what, their love grew deeper everyday ,Kyle promised Valerie she will marry her after they complete high school and becomes a musician,Kyle was from a wealthy family but Valerie was from a middle class family,everyday Kyle told Valerie about him becoming a musician,she will say"Kyle promise me even if you become the most popular musician you will never leave me"Kyle will then smile and whisper in her ears"I'm not leaving you today or tomorrow ,I'll always be with you",they will then hold each other hands and reassure themselves.

In class Valerie was the prettiest but not the loudest,she sat close to Kyle in class,Valerie helped Kyle with the subjects he found difficulties,she was very brilliant,one day after school,Kyle sent Valerie to the garden behind the school,he held her hands tight and said "One day I'll sing on big stages and you will be in the front row"Valerie smiled.she believed every word Kyle said.

Kyle walked her home,he carried her bag,and laughed at jokes on their way home,when Valerie reached home she stood in front of the gate and hugged Kyle ."Valerie ",he whispered,"No matter where I'll go, you'll be my home and the one I love no matter what,I love you",I love you too Kyle she replied ,she smiled with tears in her eyes and went inside.

She didn't know that three months from that evening ,two pink lines would change everything .
