I got back upstairs after making sure Matteo took care of the body dumped on my property.
Maybe this was Renzo giving me a sign — that he was going to hit me where it hurt the most, when I least expected it. I needed to remind him again. I had to stay ten steps ahead. He needed to be put in his place once and for all.

I didn’t like the idea of my staff spreading rumors about today’s incident. I didn’t like it one bit. So I texted Matteo quickly.
Me: Make sure all the staff sign a non-disclosure agreement today. No one is to speak of what happened or what they saw. Especially not to Cassie.
Matteo: Yes, Boss!
I felt a little peace after that. Now, I believed it was time for Cassie and I to go on our honeymoon — especially now that eyes were watching us.
