I blinked a few times before my vision cleared.
When I turned my head, Luca was already sitting nearby.
He stood slowly and moved to the edge of the bed.
“You’re awake,” he said. His voice was steady, but his eyes didn’t leave my face.
My throat felt dry. I tried to speak but barely got a sound out. He reached for a small cup and passed it to me. I took a few sips, and my head settled enough to think clearly.

“You collapsed at school,” he said. “They got you here in time.”
