Chapter 21:   Doyle walked alone up a path deep in the heart of China. It took work to convince DeLaval to even bring him this far. Doyle learned from Jack that fey did not like to admit their limitations. For some reason, DeLaval would not take him the whole way to the mountain he needed to reach. Rather, he set him down outside a small village. It was probably for the best. When Doyle left southern India, it was hotter than Hades. Here it was easy to spot the snow-topped peaks of the mountain range he needed to climb. He nearly froze to death the first night, until he traded for warmer clothes. He had little the locals wanted.
