"The house is under both our names. What right do you have to kick me out?"
"Then wait for the lawyer's notice." I pulled the door open. "I don't want to see either of you for the rest of the night."
Audrey clutched the hem of Milo's coat and spoke in a small, timid voice.
"Mr. Zachery, maybe we should leave first. Ms. Morgan's really upset right now."
Milo stared at me for a long moment before suddenly smirking.
"Fine, Nora. I'll give you some time to cool off. When you've come to your senses, come find me yourself."
He grabbed his coat, took Audrey's hand, and headed for the door.
As Audrey passed me, she lowered her head and spoke so softly that only I could hear her.
"Ms. Morgan, Mr. Zachery hates it most when people push him around."
