Chapter 17:
Time. Helena never stopped to think about it, but time had been driving her since Missy fell into her life only a few short months ago. She had become a creature ruled by time. Now she stood on the prow of the ship waiting for time to pass so they might catch a glimpse of the Spanish coast.
For some unknown reason, her heart fluttered at the thought of reaching Spain. It must be her first trip to Europe. She kept telling herself that was the reason for her excitement. Others might think it a different reason. They didn’t know her heart, no one but her and Tsang Mei knew the sacrifice both had been willing to make.
