Richard watched the small crowd milling around Lakeside Manor garden for another posh celebration—this time, a christening—until his eyes stopped on his wife.
Talking with Hugh and Martha, and his best friend, Tavish Uilleam MacCraig, and his wife, Laetitia, Giulianna stood a few feet away, cradling a tiny baby girl in her arms.
Christ, she is lovely. Richard was still mystified by how their lives had resumed as if the two years they were separated were nothing.
With the help of Bella and Christina, they married a month after reuniting, in a small ceremony with their close friends and families.
