Elizabeth's POV
"No!" I shook my head as I lashed out. It can't be true.
"Tell me, I beg of you. Tell me it is not true!" I shouted at Kona, furious at the secret she had kept from me.
"It is; I am sorry," she whimpered in my mind.
I turned ice cold at her words, and the blood that once was boiling a second ago in my veins froze.
Then everything moved in slow motion.
I looked back at all the wolves that surrounded Rosalie and me, at Alpha Jackson, Amy, and Lisa. They were ready for my command.
But at that moment, I could not hold on. I let go. I gave up before it even started.
Just like that. With a snap of my fingers, I gave up.
I didn't want to fight anymore.
I didn't want to be part of any of this.
Choose someone else for this quest! I screamed from within.
