Alexander's POV
Emanuel and I and about fifty other wolves had just come through the mountains. Emanuel had shown me the way to get to my pack faster through a hidden passage not far from his camp, where he and other pack members lived.
My thoughts went to Jessica, Zander's mate. I wondered if she had spelled Zander as well. When I asked her about it, she confirmed that she had done it when she left a couple of days ago. He was under the impression that she had gone to visit relatives. The true mate bond did indeed exist between them, and she loved him dearly. She refused to kill me because of him.
