The other wolves melted back into the shadows, but he stayed where she could see him, where she had to feel his presence. “You’re wondering how long,” he said quietly, breaking the silence. Holly lifted her head, jaw tight. “How long what?” “How long until Rowan realizes this wasn’t an accident,” Korren replied, adding another piece of wood to the fire. Sparks leapt upward, illuminating his face in sharp, shifting light. “How long until he realizes I wanted him gone.
