"What is more unfortunate and heartbreaking than to be abandoned by my mate when I was eight months and six weeks heavily pregnant for my baby?" ******* Cherokee County lay on the king-size bed of her room. Her cries have long since tailed off to slow dry heaves. It is been like this for her since she came into the house. She believes she didn't deserve this, but no one even!" It is all about fate and when it comes we should be bold enough to overthrow it. She had promised herself years before that she will never let anyone see her cry, never let them know of her pain. She thought they would relish in it. It is a shame for anyone to have such an experience and broadcast it to the whole world. They will surely make her a laughing stock. It is just like being grateful you have the best family in the world and all of a sudden things change. And everyone you have ever boasted about your family sees you as a mockery. Her mother had fled with her new suitor when Cherokee was just ten, leaving her heartbroken father to raise her alone. After a few years, her father felt that he was all by himself and needed the love and support of a spouse figure, so he fled with his side chick and left Cherokee all by herself to survive through life. She had her education to complete, which was in jeopardy now. She had to tend for herself not even her absconded Mom or erratic Dad would send her tips for daily meals. She had an ambition for life but all was in doubt now. After it made it months she set her eyes on her Dad or even heard from him. She knew she is left alone and had to move onward. Not like she knew where to go now. She just hoped in fate. Maybe a rescuer will come to her aid. That was all she wished. Perhaps, Firstly give her shelter because her rent where she lived with her Dad has expired and she was going to be thrown out of the house. Then secondly help her find a job to finish her education. And thirdly, perhaps have a stint with the LOVE OF HER LIFE, Brown Scott. She has always had a crush on him while growing up in the neighborhood but they had no connection. he was of a higher social status than her. so when Cherokee would approach Brown she quakes. and feared she wasn't good enough for his love. Brown is the son of Scott's empire. His father owns a chain of retail foods stores all over the country. His father is obviously, a billionaire. Everyone envied their family. You would hardly see Brown hanging out with neighborhood girls. He was such a high-taste dude. He is mainly based in the club girls. They were his relish. Now Cherokee is eighteen and she was putting up with her mother's bestie, Venessa. Venessa wanted to pay her back for the good when she remembered how Cherokee's family helped her over the shocking death of her husband. They made sure she never lacked anything. But when Venessa thought of how Cherokee's Mom snatched a new suitor from her and absconded. She felt that the Cherokee daughter deserved no more pity. Cherokee is heavily treated as nothing more than an unpaid filthy slave. She was beaten and ridiculed by Venessa and by the neighborhood until she was a merely broken version of herself, just because she had to tend for herself to survive. The door of her squabble room swung open hitting the wall with a loud bang and the silhouette of Venessa who took her in to help her, given her more sorrow than joy-filled the doorway. Sneering at the dried tears strains on her face. Vanessa snapped, "Get your things together quickly and meet me downstairs ready to leave my house in five minutes." She was always kind and helpful to Cherokee. Cherokee's Mom and her were very good pals until her Mom snatches what was precious to her. Her only hope, her sweetheart, and eloped with him. Vanessa had taken her in earlier to help her but when the pain of what her Mom did to her flashback her mind. She decided to pay her back in full and Cherokee was at the receiving end. She started by making her go hungry for months, with only a loaf of bread and water for brunch, then made her scrub her whole room and sweep the compound for as long as she lived with her. "Where am I going to?" Stammered Cherokee, suddenly terrified. Though her life was nothing other than humiliation and pain. She knew Vanessa's home was her last hope of having a shelter and the thought of being made to leave filled her with dread. Vanessa looked down at Cherokee for a few minutes, "I see you are quite a lucky girl. No one in the neighborhood has drawn the attention of anyone from that family but I would say I am surprised. I am surprised to know that you are going to have a happy life after now. I had planned something worst for you. So you managed to find someone willing to take you off my hands. I guess you are getting married to him then. He will be here shortly with his security and entourage to pick you. Now move!" She ordered as she let a grin cross her face whilst she looked down at Cherokee before turning on her heels and out of the door. Cherokee County lay on the floor whimpering, anything that made her, Venessa, her mother's best friend have regard for her would never be a good thing. Knowing better than to keep Vanessa waiting, Cherokee quickly grab a few items she had and stuck them in a small split backpack she found under her bed, and hike downstairs.
