"You know you're a very stingy person right? How could you as a human being with blood coursing through your veins and all those emotions and hormones.........."
Haleema held up her hand to stop Royhana from lamenting further. "Hey hey calm down will you?? Why go all science on me, Is there anything I need to know that you're not telling me?" She said and continue to eat the food she was eating before Royhana's interruption.
Royhana scoff in anger. "You are pretending right now as if you've done nothing wrong right? How could you call yourself human when you're this wicked not to talk of calling yourself a conscious muslim."
Haleema looked up at her in disbelief. "No No....... I won't tolerate that you can't use my iman against me I wont take it from you cause that's total disrespect to my self esteem!"
Royhana smirked in irritation. She clicked her tongue at her. "Oh is the truth really that bitter for you to hear. Oh did I hurt your self esteem?? Awwwn what a cute little angel you are dear. You are just a devil's advocate."
Haleema almost choked on her breath. "What did you just call me. Devils advocate!! I won't tolerate this from you. I'll never accept you calling me that. Never!! I'm.............."
"So you think you're a cute little angel don't you??" She paused for some seconds then she smirked at her. " You are just a human with an evil mind." Roy provoked further.
All air from her lungs were drained in a choke. She stood staring at her with an open jaw. "I........ You....... A human with w..with an....... evil mind!!!" She gasped in realization of how hefty those words are. She slumped into a nearby chair for support. She stared into the space in awe.
Roy started feeling sorry for all she said to her to intentionally hurt her. Just about she was about to apologise for her outburst, their third roommate, Teemah barged in.
"Hey guys......... Yoooo I have good news for you guys!" Teemah said excitedly as she entered the room. She flung her bag on the beg, and started to remove her heels once her behind hit the bed.
Silence fills the room as the three went mute. Teemah raised up her head from the ground, observing the two. She shifted her gaze from Royhana to Haleemah.
Then she caught up with the situation. She smirked, " Wait!! Did you guys fight again? Royhana!" She sent her daggers. She knew she's always the the one to start a fight. And she also know how gentle and soft hearted Haleema is.
"Uhmm it's nothing we're just playing around. So what's the......."
Haleema gasped in utter disbelief. "How could you lie so easily. Royhana you're just so impossible." Royhana rolled her eyes in irritation and clicks her tongue silently, almost impossible to hear. Haleema turned to Teemah.
"You can't believe what Royhana did today. She said I'm a devil's advocate and I'm a human with a devil's mind. Can you believe that!!"
Teemah bit her lip to stop herself from chuckling. She glared at Royhana. "Royhana how could you! That's unfair, you know how sensitive she is about curses and abuses. What made you say such a thing"
Royhana twitched her lips in distaste. " You can't believe what she did also! She didn't cook my food together with hers. Can you imagine!"
Teemah couldn't hold herself anymore. She burst into a fist. "Wait!!! You called her a devil's advocate and all those things because she didn't cook for you. Royhana!!!" She cracked up again.
Royhana shrugged. "Isn't that murderous. She did it intentionally. I mean.......... she knows how much I love food and my zero tolerance for hunger and she cooked that delicious meal without cooking mine. I mean that's like evil!!"
Teemah chuckled slightly. "It's not her right to cook for anyone and you could have just talked it out like an adult instead of this audio fight you're on about"
Haleema sighed in irritation. She couldn't believe her hears. "You called me all that because of food Royhana!! I cooked your meal. For you guys, you're just so impatient. Instead of you to ask calmly, you..........." She scoffed narrowing her eyes at her.
"Royhana you're impossible ooo. You haven't confirmed it and you're picking up a fight with her. That's so ridiculous."
Royhana pouted her mouth. "I'm sorry angel. I...... you.....know naaa, thank you dear. You know I'm just kidding, you devil kee, you're as pure as an angel........." Haleema rolled her eyes at her and left for the kitchen, while Teemah laughed hard.
"So babes what's up? You said you have gist..." Roy inquired, moving closer to Teemah.
"I said yes to him today........." Teemah said with a big grin.
"Oh my God! Oh my God! That's like good news. Yeeeeee." She exhaled happily "Hooo. Babe we're really doing this. I'm so happy."
Teemah chuckled. "Yeah....... but I learnt about something new today. He says he has a Muslim friend who's a MSSN member or something. I need to check him also. It might be another game of theirs. He's the reason I said yes to him and I'm visiting him tomorrow. After thorough check we game."
"Finally! I'm so happy right now I could fly" Royhana jumped up in excitement.
"So what are you so happy about? That made you start jumping." Haleemah asked in confusion suddenly startling her.
"Uhhmmm it's nothing dear. Never mind" Royhana threw her a hypocritical smile.
"Are we really friends? Fateemah how could you? You told her something and decided to leave me out of it. And we call ourselves friends??"
"Haleemah calm down. We are! How could you even ask such a thing? Of course we are."
"Then make me believe that's true and it's not just a fig of my imagination. I'm really disappointed. For Royhana to be this happy I'm sure it's big of a deal."
"Haleemah calm down. You can't understand. I mean it's........."
Royhana was cut short by Teemah's sudden outburst.
"I said yes to Benard's proposal." Royhana sent Teemah a questioning look and she gave her a reassuring smile.
Haleemah gasped in shock. "What....... What the heavens is wrong with you. That's a total sin. And he's a Christian for God's sake. Fateemah this is getting out of hand. You're from a prestigious Islamic family. This is so............."
"Haleemah!!! That's enough ok!" Teemah shouted back at her in anger. "You will never understand ok. So just stay out of this."
"No I'm not going to keep quiet. What is wrong with you Fateemah Hassan? I am not going to keep quiet cause this is not right. There are so many intelligent, handsome and caring Muslim brothers instead of a kaafir."
"Caring or boring?!" Roy asked playfully.
"Royhana I'm not joking here please. How come you two are so shameless and stupid." Haleemah continued, fuming with anger.
"Oh! Just because of that your crush ehhn you're calling all those boring ass caring and intelligent huh! Shoot me!" Roy fired back.
"He's not my crush and don't you dare drag his name into this okay ........ And he's a very cool guy."
"Here we go again! It's better you tell this guy how much you love him or else you'll die of heartbreak." Royhana starts provoking Haleemah knowing fully well that's the only way to frustrate her out of the talk.
"What!! Amir is someone I respect a lot okay. And I'll not hear anything bad you have to say, so just keep your mouth shut." Haleemah retorted.
"No I won't! You are obviously head over heels with this guy. I can help you ooo. And I'm sure he's going to accept you unless he's also a boring ass like you"
"No I won't accept this from you. You can't insult him like this Royhana. What the heck is your problem?"
"Oh insult! Babe if that's the case then I'm just getting started my dear. What if I call your Musab an asshole. He might be just as crazy as Teemah's musab.
Teemah chocked on her breath. "Don't even mention it. The musab from my past is pure evil. He's just a d**k. A real pain in the neck. I'm sure Haleemah's musab is much more interesting."
"He's not my Musab. What is wrong with you? You know what? I'm done with this conversation. I'm out of here." Haleemah said and stood up to leave.
Royhana and Fateemah heaved a sigh of relief. "Haleema I can help you talk to him oo. I'm sure he's so cute for you to be blushing hard right now" Royhana teased again while Teemah keeps struggling with her laughter from coming out.
"Masalam!!" She banged the door on her way out.
"Oooooh" The two heaved a sigh of relief again.
"I know that's the only way to stop her from interfering. Haleema and her crush."
Teemah laughed a little. "Leave her and her crush ooo."
"From the name I can picture the guy as a boring fellow. Musab!" Royhana chuckled at her words.
"Musab!" Teemah muttered under her breath. She shivered in irritation. The name is enough to spoil her whole day.
