I forced an awkward smile, trying to appear composed even though my chest felt tight.
“Nice to have you here, Mr. Elias,” my manager, Daniel, said warmly. He gestured toward me with an easy smile. “This is one of our staff members who’ll be handling your design.”
Elias stepped closer, that infuriating smile plastered on his face. My stomach churned—I hated that smile more than I could admit.
