Alina’s POV
The soft hum of jazz drifted through the bar , mingling with the faint clinking of glasses and the low murmur of conversations. Neon lights painted Noami’s face in shades of rose and amber as she leaned back with a sigh, her cocktail glass poised halfway to her lips.
“It’s been so f*****g long since we did this,” she said, a nostalgic smile tugging at her mouth. “Remember our uni days? We practically lived in places like this.”
I let out a soft laugh, feeling a rare sense of ease settle over me. “You’re right. That’s why I dragged you out tonight—mini celebration.”
I raised my glass, the rim catching the light. “To my amazing new offer.”
Our glasses clinked, the sound sharp and satisfying. I took a sip, the cool burn sliding down my throat.
