Chapter Sixteen The Senior Citizen Care Centre was a two-minute walk from the Kirk School. The stone building seemed old. Greenish-purple ivy enveloped it, and in the garden, yellow, red, pink, lavender, and orange blossoms glittered under the golden sunlight, their fragrance engulfing the area. She knocked on the red door, which held a wooden plaque with the centre’s name. A youngish brunette with bright green eyes unbolted the door.
