CHAPTER TWENTY Rowe's head was pounding, and the grit in his eyes was driving him crazy. He'd barely slept. His time in the Army meant that he could sack out just about anywhere. But he wasn't in the Army anymore, and his brain was beginning to catch up to that fact. He wanted to curse, but he hadn't even had his coffee yet. The stupid tiny house's stupid tiny coffee maker was broken. There was a good chance that he’d demolish that fancy shed before this job was over. Right now, the only thing keeping him from doing it was that it was probably stupidly expensive. He was sure that if Vi had slept in bed beside him his sleep would have gone on just fine. His wolf rumbled under his skin. Yeah, the wolf agreed too. He shouldn't have let Vi leave. And how could he make her stay? Handcuffs?
