CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
Vi wasn't anywhere that Rowe looked. He tried her cabin first, and it was empty. She wasn't in the rec center either. His wolf prowled under his skin, anxious and ready to burst out.
He asked a few of the witches and no one had seen her.
He had the sinking sensation that something was wrong. It only grew worse when he thought he caught her scent at the edge of the forest.
She wouldn't be stupid enough to go in there alone. Not with the power sucking tree and the possessed bear.
Not if she was in her right mind.
But what if Rosalie had gotten to her? Rowe hadn't seen the coven leader in his search for Vi, and he didn't know what he would do to the older woman if he found her and Vi was hurt. No, he knew.
Blood would drench the grass if Rosalie had hurt her.
