Vi was going to kill Rowe for rushing into the clearing without a plan. And then she was going to kiss him better and teach him a lesson about defending himself from evil witches bent on world domination.
His pack’s struggle was enough to loosen the magic holding her in place and she fed her own magic under it. Her heartbeat kicked up, the first sign of tapping her internal power. She wasn’t worried, not yet.
She wouldn’t worry until her eyes started bleeding.
As Rosalie sent a wave of power to quell the shifters, Vi sent her own to the bonds holding her. They didn’t quite give. She needed another shot. But the magic had done the shifters in, and they were slumped to the ground.
