I was completely confident that Delight was full of sh.it by the time Calix kissed me in his room. The way he made me feel was indescribable. I felt so safe and cared for and se.xy and desired and loved all at the same time. Every second we spent together was intense and amazing. It hurt, but the pleasure that came with it replaced all the pain.
I felt loved. Truly loved. I felt worth something. I felt important for the first time in my life. I felt like all the things my mom said about me were lies.
Finally, I'd found someone who loved me unconditionally. And I knew for sure that Calix was in love with me. I wasn't worthless. I wasn't poison. I was important. I was sunshine.
