Giovanni... is here? Right now? Why now, after all this time?
"Where?" Paxon asked as he stood protectively in front of me.
"Hasn't gotten through the gates," Cutter told him. "War and Sab should be talking to him now. They told me to come tell you two."
"Why the hell would he show up after all this time?" Pax mumbled.
He and Cutter kept talking, but I couldn't hear them anymore. My heartbeat was pounding in my ears. Black spots dotted my vision. My breathing started coming in ragged. I was freaking out. I was seconds away from a full panic.
What do I do? Should I run? Do I face Marino before he hurts anyone? Do I plead with him to spare Paxon?
