"You gonna tell me what happened?" I asked her, trying to keep my voice gentle.
Naddy was bandaged up now. Her lip was swollen though and there was a bruise forming around the cut on her cheek. Seeing it pi.ssed me off. I really just don't understand how anyone at all could ever be cruel or hit such a wonderful person like Nadine. She's so goddamn kind and caring about everyone around her. How can Julia hate her so much?
