The day was finally starting to wind down. It feels like it flew right by in a blur. It was a good day. One of the best I've ever had.
We all hung around the cabin. The kids played. Mom cooked and baked like she was feeding an army. We snacked all day and watched some football game on TV. Then we all sat around the large dining table and played games for a while. I haven't seen Waylen have that much fun... ever, I think. The house was full of the kids' laughter, and Deidra smiled all day. A real smile too. She laughed, joked, joined in like she was always part of the family.
It all made me fall for her harder.
