The next couple of days were a whirlwind of events and emotions.
On Wednesday, we went sledding. All of us. We went to this huge hill on the outskirts of town. There were a ton of people, but it was still really fun. The kids had a blast. I couldn't keep up with them. Brixton and I even went down a few times together. We ended up spending hours there before finally wrangling the kids up. They weren't happy, but I was surprised there were no tantrums at all. They're all such good kids.
They didn't have any plans for Thursday — yesterday — but I managed to find something. I couldn't take another day locked up inside. I was sure that everyone else agreed. I think the kids were content to play with their new toys all day, but we adults were
