Feeling homesick

CHRYS I slept in until it was late in the afternoon. I rose from my bed, stretched my body, and strode into the bathroom to have my bath before I wore a black gown, tied my still-wet hair up in a ponytail, and went downstairs, feeling utterly rejuvenated. There was no one downstairs when I went to check on the new maid, and I thought she was in her room. I had just come out of the kitchen when I noticed someone standing outside. From the shape of the body, it wasn't difficult for me to know who the person was.
