After nursing Gio and watching him drift quickly to sleep,I looked up to find Chase watching me intently. I ignored him and walked to the kitchen. I decided to make him some food before he woke from the forced slumber.
I wasn't a great cook but I knew how to handle a frying pan. I searched the cabinet for anything but could only find a packet of cereal.
"I usually order" Chase said. Had he followed me?
"Where's my phone?" I asked Chase without meeting his eyes. I would order something. Chase held my arms. "Let me go." I murmured.
"Look at my eyes,Ice. I shouldn't scare you."
"Says the man who kidn*pped a family man." A twitch of hurt appeared on his face and I felt a tad guilty. "And for what? Work files!"
