My body feels warm. Warmer that usual. It takes a moment for me to collect my thoughts and finally peer my eyes open to meet the rays pricing through the slits of the window. A tiny squeak flies out my throat before I can even stop it when I realize a pressure on my abdomen.  There's an arm around me, holding me close. My body's pressed against him, spine flatten against his chest. If it were any other morning, I would've already slapped him off me. But not today. Wherever he ran off to yesterday surely must've exhausted him. His hair's matted and rough, like he's been sweating. A frown falls on my face upon noticing the coldness of his skin and the shade of his skin tone. He looks pale.
