Chris probably noticed the tense atmosphere like  I did. Because next thing I know, he’s already gone. Axeyl follows me inside with a silence. After giving myself a quick shower and hopping into some clean clothes, he’s still silent as a mouse. I feel like a walking ghost with his presence. And the fact that I can’t even have a proper rest right now is wrecking me. I’ve barely slept properly for the last hours and I know he hasn’t either.  I sigh, stirring my cup of coffee as I enter my living room. I’ll probably have a refill after finishing this.
