“That’s awesome!” said Philip in total excitement. “Dude I can’t believe you got shot and you are still standing before me,” Philip added. “Don’t get shot,” Max replied. “I won’t,” Philip said putting up a smile. “I am glad I have someone now who can take a bullet for me,” Philip giggles. “I need you to cover my ass in school for me,” Max said. “You want to miss class again?” Philip asked as he stares at Max with surprise. “We have been taken our final exams and it’s too slow. I can’t be busting my ass in classes often,” said Max. “Why not?” Philip asked with curiosity. “I have some business to attend to,” Max replied. “What type of business?” Philip asked. “I will explain to you when I am back,” Max replied. “Make sure you stay out of trouble,” Philip showed concern as they both shook hands. “I will try my best,” Max replied with a smile. “You better do, because I need your ass as my partner in a courtroom as soon as we get our degree,” said Philip. “That reminds me, Prof Wong has been asking after you,” Philip said. “You know you missed his pep talk before the panel hearing last week that you freaked me out with your black eyes,” said Philip. “My bad! How is he doing with the panel case?” Max asked. “The case has been awarded to him,” Philip replied. “That sounds good,” Max smiled. “Hey Mr. Lewis!” said Max as he walked up to his front door. “Hi Max,” Mr. Lewis replied. “Please have you seen my cat? My cat has been missing since last night,” Mr. Lewis said. “I am sorry Mr. Lewis, but if I see your cat, you will be the first to know,” said Max. “Thank you Max, I know I could count on you,” Mr. Lewis replied. On walking into his sitting-room, he saw Jasmine watching TV, “Oh s**t!” Max exclaimed. “You really know how to make an entrance,” said Max to Jasmine. “Sounds like someone missed me,” Jasmine replied with smiles on her face as she continued watching the TV. “Why did you leave the last time without biding me goodbye?” Max asked as he sat beside Jasmine. “I am not good at saying goodbye,” Jasmine replied glancing at Max. “But since you love hearing it, I will try to be saying them,” Jasmine replied. “That sounds good,” said Max with smiles on his face nodding his head. “I overheard your conversation with your neighbor Mr. Lewis,” Jasmine said with her eyes still fixed on the TV set. “What about the conversation?” Max asked with curiosity. “And how the hell did you know his name?” Max added, staring at Jasmine with surprise. “I know everything and I can tell you the names of your ancestors,” Jasmine replied glancing at Max. On hearing this, Max adjusts on the couch, “Maybe we should focus on my conversation with Mr. Lewis. My ancestors' names are of no importance to me now,” Max replied. “You really do not have any ideas about Mr. Lewis’ missing cat, do you?” Jasmine asked with her eyes fixed on Max. “I have no freaking idea and I even offered to help him find the cat,” Max replied. “Hahaha! Like seriously you don’t remember?” Jasmine asked sternly. “Remembered what?” Max asked feeling lost and confused as he stared at Jasmine for explanations. “You killed the goddamned cat,” Jasmine replied. “I did what?” Max yelled as he stands to his feet with so much anxiety written all over his face. “How the hell did it happen?” Max asked. “You were sleepwalking again when you encountered Mr. Lewis’ cat; you trampled the cat underfoot as you were sleepwalking,” Jasmine narrates. “f**k me!” Max exclaimed throwing himself on the couch. “Why didn’t the goddamned cat run away?” Max said as he held his head. “Because the cat was caught in a hook in your garage,” said Jasmine. “In my garage? Is that where I was sleepwalking two days ago?” Max asked with curiosity. “Yep!” Jasmine replied. “And how the hell did you know all this?” Max asked as he glanced at Jasmine with surprise. “I told you, I know things,” Jasmine replied. “You got to help me,” said Max. “Mr. Lewis is gonna kill me if he finds out what happened to his cat,” Max added. “Then kill him before he gets to kill you,” said Jasmine as she wore a weird smile. “What! I can’t do that,” Max replied. “I am just kidding,” Jasmine said as she laughs out loud. “What if I told you, you can revive the cat by yourself?” said Jasmine. “How the hell am I suppose to d that?” Max asked sternly. “Drop a bit of your blood on the cat,” Jasmine answered. “You know I can’t cut myself with an ordinary blade,” Max replied with his face down. “That’s why I came with the demon’s blade,” Jasmine said as she pulled out the demon’s blade. “What about the cat? I don’t know where to find it,” Max said. “The cat is still lying dead in your garage,” said Jasmine as she disappeared out of thin air. “She does that often,” said Max as he picks up the demon’s blade. “I better get used to it,” he added walking straight to his garage. “This gonna hurt,” Max said as he cuts his finger with the demon’s blade and letting the drop of blood from his finger into the cat. Suddenly, the cat got up stretches itself and quickly ran off to Mr. Lewis' apartment. “Thank goodness!” said Max as he leans back on the wall. As he was leaning on the wall, there was a violent wind in his garage throwing things around, “What the hell is going on?” Max rhetorically asked as he held onto his shelve as the wind keeps beating against him. The lights in his garage began flickering, “Bloody hell!” Max exclaimed and suddenly the violent wind seized. “Oh, it has stopped said Max,” as he let go of the shelves. Not quite long an invincible force carried him and slammed him to his car, “f**k me!” Max as exclaimed as he attempts to stand to his feet. He noticed a swift movement behind him, as he turned to see what it was; a thick black smoke knocked him to the wall unconscious.
