In the northern part of the rogue camp, a mansion sat proudly on the hill and everyone could see the building, no matter the corner of the city they were in.
Growling and gunshots were heard from the large building compound and the whole place was filled with different people fighting.
Among them was Asmeria who was dressed in a casual top and tight pants with lots of pockets.
She charged at the lady before her who was attacking her with a sword, but she threw the lady she was fighting a series of punches, trying to avoid being cut by the sharp blade.
"Faster Asmeria, faster. Your speed isn't high enough." Rolfe said from the side of the training field he was.
She grabbed her opponent by the arms when she saw an opening and pinned her to the ground but before she knew it, a brown wolf charged towards her.
The wolf missed her with just an inch and she rolled down in the dust.
The brown wolf glared at her as it took a stance showing it was ready to pounce. As she focused on the wolf, the lady she pinned to the ground picked her sword swiftly and charged at her.
Asmeria sensed the two threats but didn't know where to turn to. “What should you do when you have lots of opponents focusing on you?” Rolfe asked.
“Trick them.” Asmeria said to herself and acted like she was going to attack the wolf which made the two attack at the same time.
The two, sword and wolf, almost struck each other but the wolf swiftly changed her form to that of a human and ducked, rolling on the ground with the sword slicing through her skin, making a minor cut.
"Are you okay?” Asmeria asked the lady who nodded gently. “Please, be careful next time. You could have been really hurt.”
"Yes, miss." The lady crouching on the ground nodded and Rolfe walked over to her, patting her shoulder gently with a small smile.
“You did well, Asmeria. You should get some rest.” He said and she nodded before walking towards the mansion. As she walked in, a figure stood in the woods watching their every move. He watched as Asmeria entered the mansion and as Rolfe started to train with some of his men.
“So you are the one who wants my woman to turn from me.” His voice came out low with anger mixed with hatred in his tone. “Well, no one dares to mess with what's mine and gets away with it.”
He slowly watched as Rolfe fought and the instant he saw a hint of tiredness, he lunged out of the woods, aiming straight at Rolfe. They both rolled on the ground and the instant Rolfe saw he was masked, he knew it wasn't one of them.
“If you dare ask you men to come forward, you'll be dead along with Asmeria and her son.” His voice held threat in it as he pulled off his mask and Rolfe immediately recognized Thorian. “I have my men stationed everywhere and any wrong move or move against my wish, you will be gone.”
“What do you want?” Rolfe asked, waving to his men not to make a move.
Some men aimed arrows right from the woods at his men and Rolfe could see it. “You can all go.” Rolfe said to his men who seemed reluctantly before they actually left as he ordered.
As soon as they left, Thorian's fist connected with Rolfe's jaw and they both got into a fight. Rolfe tried holding back so not to do what he wasn't supposed to do but Thorian hit him hard, almost breaking his nose.
Rolfe fell on the floor as Thorian's fist connected with his stomach and he spat out blood. Thorian grabbed his bloody chin to make Rolfe look up at him. “Know this, Rolfe. No one messes with me and goes free. Asmeria is my woman and only mine so keep your hands off her.”
“But… she doesn't want you.” Rolfe said with a bloody smile. Thorian hearing this hit him hard again and he spat out even more blood.
“You are not in the position to peak for her…”
“And you think you are? You have caused her so much pain she can't trust anyone anymore and you think she will come back to you?” Rolfe laughed mockingly which only annoyed Thorian even more. “Dream on…”
This time, Thorian kicked him in the stomach with forced and Rolfe fell forward trying to hold back his laughter. “What kind of alpha are you? Hiding in the shadows till your target is completely weak from training before showing yourself…”
“Rolfe.” Asmeria's scream came from the back door of the mansion and Thorian seeing this hurriedly covered his face and dashed back into the woods. “This is just a warning, Rolfe. You not leaving would be so much worse than this one you just faced.”
Asmeria rushed over to him and pulled his bloody and brusied body to herself. “Rolfe are you alright? Who was that?” Asmeria asked with tears I'm her eyes as his blood stained her clothes.
“Thorian…” Rolfe said and an unexplainable anger rose from withing Asmeria. Who does he think he was trying to use force and those she cared about to try to torture her to come back to him with her child.
“I hate you, Thorian. No matter what you do, I'll keep on hating you.” Asmeria thought as she helped Rolfe up to his feet and she led him into the mansion.
Thorian watched from the woods with jealousy as he saw Rolfe leaning on her. “You just wait, Asmeria. I'll take you away from this man and make you become my Luna at all cost. Even if I have to kill everyone who stands in my way. I will get you and my son back from him.” Thorian said, clenching his fist as he slammed it against a tree which shook violently.
Thorian headed back to his pack and as he got into the palace, everyone could feel he was angry and they all moved away from him and avoided him as much as possible. Thorian couldn't contain his anger at all and he just wanted to beat someone up. Preferably his father for putting him in this position of chasing after the woman that was already his in the first place.
He turned to look at her picture which he already had transferred into a larger picture. “Don't worry Asmeria. It's only a matter of time before you and I get back together. I'll make sure of it.” He said before walking straight out of his room and headed towards his father's room.
The nurse working in there hurriedly bowed as he saw him and rushed out of the room to avoid being on his bad side.
Vanrad was laying in bed, looking weak than before. His skin was pale and although he could speak, he didn't and just stared at the ceiling thinking all day.
“You aren't dead yet.” Thorian said with the hatred in his tone not concealed at all. Vanrad on the other rhand seems to be used to his attitude already so he just didn't say anything.
“I found her and she is already with another man. See what you caused.” Thorian said in anger but he wasn't yelling at him. “If you hadn't have me marry that good for nothing sister of hers, she would have still been mine. And she has a son, there is a high chance the child is mine.”
“But how can I claim the child his mine when you made me stay away from her since all these years? You made Asannah chain me down and mad me dance to your time like everything depends on your decision. You are the worst father, Vanrad. I wished you were never my father and I had a better father.” Thorian said, walking back and forth in the room.
Vanrad was hearing everything he was saying but kept quiet. The place Thorian comes to yell and let out all his frustration was on him since Thorian blames him for every misfortune he had andnthat wasn't totally wrong at all. It was one way or the other Vanrad's fault. Even if it wasn't obvious that it was his fault.
“What do you want to do?” Vanrad asked him and Thorian scoffed.
“What do I want to do? What should I do? She hates me because of you. You should have never come between us. I should have never allowed, you and should have never listened to you because everything you deal with ends up with something wrong with it. Imagine you telling me about the curse right now when I have only a few months left and the last few years of my life, it was because of you it was hell.” Thorian said through his gritted teeth.
Vanrad ignored everything he just said and coughed in a weak voice. “Make sure you get the child back at all cost.”
