Asannah's carriage stopped in front of the pack house and the guards tried stopping her from entering but the glare she threw them made them stop. “Where is Thorian?” Asannah asked his personal guard who was just walking out of the pack house when she arrived “His majesty is up in his study ma'am.” The guard said with a bow and without even waiting another second, she headed straight to his study. She pushed the door open without even knocking. She looked straight at his table and she saw Thorian sitting there, behind his desk with a glass of brownish liquor in his hand as he stared out through the window. “Thorian.” She called and on hearing her voice, Thorian turned his attention towards the direction her voice came from. He didn't expect to hear her voice in his pack house ever again after she left and he wondered what she was doing here right now. “Why are you here?” Thorian asked as he settled the glass with him on his table before looking at her with a raised brow. “And how may I help you?” “How may you help me? Thorian, why is Asmeria back in the pack house?” Asannah asked, walking straight to him and placing her hands on his table with her not trying to hide the anger in her voice. “And what is this rumor about you getting married to her all about?” “Do you have a problem with that?” Thorian asked with a raised brow, making Asannah scoff as she looked around the room in disbelief. “You left, have you forgotten…” “It hasn't been two weeks, Thorian. It is not up to two weeks and you're already looking for a rebound? Aren't you even supposed to come to me and tell me we can go through your phase together?” She asked and it annoyed her even more as she saw Thorian's calm face as she raised her voice. “After everything I've done for you, Thorian, you can still think of going back to her? Is that fair? After all I've helped you achieve and go through, do you think it's fair? After I fulfill my duty as your wife everyday.” Asannah pointed out but Thorian just remained indifferent as he stared at her. “You aren't even acting like I'm here. So that's how it is uh? How would she feel if she knows you are impotent and cannot bear a child. At least I still stuck around, believing in you. She would leave you in the snap of my fingers and she would even steal from you again.” Asannah said with a mocking tone and Thorian finally spoke up. “Asmeria has my child already.” He said and Asannah looked stunned. “What?” Asannah asked in shock. “Have you forgotten she was forced out of her bond with me because of you? She took from me so she could fend for the child she was pregnant with at that time. So even though I am unable to have a child now, she already gave me one before it even happened.” Thorian said with an intention to make it slap her across the face and it did very hard. “You are an ingrate, Thorian. After everything I have done for you. After all thempove I have shown you and the believe I had in you when we realized you can't have kids. Do you think any other woman would stay with an impotent man if I didn't?” Asannah screamed, making it even more obvious she was hurt by Asmeria's presence as it was a slap to her face. “I will sign the divorce papers and receive my shares from your properties.” Asannah said and Thorian leaned into his chair with a small chuckle. “Getting married to a royal, I choose the amount of my property I want to give to you. And after the amount you've secretly taken from me, I'll settle with nothing.” Thorian said and Asannah felt like she has been hit in the face again. “What?” She yelled. “You forgot some of your things and you can find it in a corner of my room's personal living room. Get it there and leave immediately. The papers will be sent to you. You can take your leave.” Thorian said, pointing at the door before he faced the paperwork he was dealing with. Asannah stormed out of the office and headed straight to the living room where he said her stuff was. She also wanted to see Asmeria and see how much she had changed these past years because Asannah didn't change much but she was glowing due to Thorian's wealth and the royal treatments. “Useless piece of trash. Why did you have to show up? He should still be mine by now and begging me to come back to him since I am the only woman who can satisfy him.” She said through her gritted teeth as she walked down the hall. The maids who she walked past bowed to her but she just ignored them and headed towards her direction. I won't let you ruin my chance of me getting his wealth no matter how hard you try to stand in my way.” Asannah said as she pushed the door open. “Asannah always gets what she wants at all cost.” As she stepped into the living room, she saw Asmeria sitting there staring into space. She didn't even notice Asannah just entered until she heard her booming voice from the door where she stood. “So it really is true that you are back.” Asannah said and Asmeria turned her head to look at her with an uninterested expression. Asmeria had truly changed. She looked brighter and even more beautiful than she used to look and it surprised Asannah. Her golden locks were brighter and even her face was brighter. She looked well fed and like she had been living her best life in the past few years she was gone. A groan escaped Asmeria as she set her eyes on Asannah. She always came at the time Asmeria expected her to be the last person she would see and it even irritated her more now than it used to irritate her back then. “What do you want this time, Asannah?” Asmeria asked as she straightened her posture. “What am I doing in my husband's pack house?” Asannah scoffed and Asmeria looked around with a sigh. “If I remember clearly, he already signed the divorce papers and you're just yet to and besides, you left the pack house yourself.” Asmeria said and Asannah laughed wondering how she knew about that. “Whatever it is you came here to do, please just do it and do not disturb me for any reason.” “Do you think Thorian really wants you back?” Asannah asked with a scoff. “You are just here as a rebound and because you have a son for him. He is not interested in you. He knows the only way he can get your son is by you two getting married and sharing custody of the child. You are nothing but an item.” Asannah spat, irking Asmeria. “If you're done, please leave Asannah. Don't think you can bully me as you want. I have hands and I am not afraid to hit you with them like you used to.” Asmeria said which surprised Asannah. “So you've grown wings now because you think you're the next Luna right? Well let me tell you, I have been there and it is nothing special. You will just be used as a tool, a way to make Thorian practice if he is still impotent or not.” Asannah said with a sly smirk on her face. Asmeria didn't say a word and just stared at her. “Well, you're only spouting out your experience, so I'm not surprised. You're a cheap commodity so you can be used as Thorian pleased.” Asmeria finally said and that got on Asannah's nerves. “How dare you speak to me that way?” Asannah lifted her hand to hit Asmeria but someone grabbed her hand and she looked behind to see Thorian who had a dangerous look in his eyes as he glared at Asannah. “Tho… Thorian.” She mumbled as he threw her hand out of his. “Do you have a death wish?” Thorian asked and she hurriedly rubbed her wrists gently. “Get whatever it is you want to get and make your way out of my house right now or you will be given a new home in the dungeon if you're so keen to stay next to me.” Asannah gritted her teeth as she took her stuffs and rushed out of the room in embarrassment. The maids who were in the room looked at her as she walked away which made her even more embarrassed than him threatening her made her feel. “Mark my words, Asmeria.” Asannah said as she walked out of the building. “I will make you pay for this and you will regret it deeply.”
