I bit my lower as I felt a pang in my chest. We were now departing to the city of Kiram, and yet, even the shadow of prince Alastair is nowhere to be seen. Lady Karheel explained to me that the crown prince was just busy attending some princely duty that he can't have a time to escort us. I felt sadness filling every pores in my skin as I prayed silently that he'll be here before we departed, but it was only a wishful thinking. He won't be sending us, nor even be here to see me before I leave.
