Chapter 20
The empress ran towards her son who was carrying an unconscious lady in his arms. A worried look was visible on the empress' face.
“What happened, son?” she immediately asked. Alastair's jaw clenched, remembering what happened.
“The royals ambushed us,” was his only reply. He flicked his fingers and immediately, a doctor came rushing towards him. “Check her for possible injuries. She's having a difficulty in breathing.”
“Yes, Your Highness.” He gently placed her on the bed and kissed her forehead before letting the physician to check on her. He stood up and took a deep breath.
“You should go to your father,” the empress said. She raised her hand and held his face lovingly. “Calm down, son, it won't do any better if you keep being angry.”
