Lucy's POV
Everyone got settled in the meeting room which was enough to accommodate us all, my heart beat so hard. Eric was beside me, he clutched my hand so tight. When Amelia came in, the Alpha King called on her to sit by his side, calling her daughter.
“And you, Eric. Come sit here!” My breath almost escaped my throat, I watched Amelia grin and tried to compose myself. I was fuming up inside.
“Like why will these people want to sever the bond Eric and I share just for their selfish interest?” I questioned but there was no one to answer me, it seemed as though I was trying to fight an authority from above and I'll end up losing. I wondered why Eric became so obedient, he would have declined the offer to go sit with Amelia, then I remembered who asked him to do this.
