Hayley drove up the long drive to Chiltern Hall in her old red Mini and parked it next to a huge electric car that made it look like a toy. So she reversed it out and parked it on the other side of the steps that led up to the grand entrance. It was a perfect example of Georgian architecture. A young maid dressed in black opened the heavy oak door before she had reached the top. Usually, it was the old housekeeper, Mrs Bittens, who invited guests in.
