“What have you done?” Nilla shoved Alden away from her.
“How did you get here?” Bertrand reached for Nilla’s hand.
“Don’t you dare play games with me, you vile, horrible scum.” Nilla pushed herself to her feet, swaying dangerously over the water.
“Careful.” Maggie grabbed Nilla’s arm.
“I told you to leave me alone,” Nilla said. “I told you I was happy staying in Sarana. Where am I? In your little fairy land?”
“You’re in the Siren’s Realm,” Maggie said.
“I knew it.” Nilla gripped Maggie’s arm. “You’re a monster, Bertrand Wayland.”
“Nilla, whatever you think of me can be discussed later,” Bertrand said. “The much more pressing subject is how you came to be in the Siren’s Realm.”
“You dragged me here, you evil―”
“I did no such thing,” Bertrand said.
