"I just—" Carl began, only to be interrupted by an angry looking Kevin.
"Brown Inc does not need employees that can't arrive at a goddamn meeting on time! You were supposed to be here with a marketing plan and statistics! Not only are you late, but you had the audacity to come here unprepared!" Kevin gritted out, slamming his hand on the desk.
"I was about to print it out when—" Although he was being fried under Kevin's heat, Carl had managed to keep himself reserved.
"I do not have time for an excuse." Kevin interrupted, once more.
"I was just—" Carl began, however this time, it wasn't Kevin who interrupted.
"He was with me." Lily said, casing the both of their heads to turn in Lily's direction.
"Lily?" Kevin said, startled. Instantly, the expressions on his face calmed down.
