The crooked road that passed before their headlights, carved it's way around the mountain top. Lily and Kevin had been driving for about a half an hour now, with a peaceful silence as they treaded the landscape.
"Everything is so pretty here." Lily said as the car rolled over the snowy path. "It's a winter wonderland."
"It is, isn't it?" Kevin smiled, seeing icicles hanging from the sides of the mountain. "Does it ever snow like this in California?" He asked with curiosity.
Lily's body stiffened for a second, before she eased into the conversation. "Not quiet like this." She said after a pause. "It actually doesn't snow much in Califorina. Only if you go into the mountainous regions, at high altitudes. And even then, I don't think I've seen this much snow."
