She started at him with a sad smile. Although no words left his mouth, Kevin lifted his hand off the cold surface of the table and rested it on top of Lily's small hands. And that was all she needed. Comfort. Reassurance. Affection.
"I.....Elle was gone for the day so I was in charge of the cafe. I had been working with Caiden all day but Caiden had to leave early." Lily looked back up to Kevin and found him deeply listening to every syllable that came out of her mouth. After a short pause, she continued.
