“Rylie...” he said in a whisper as his shoulders slumped forward, he moved some herbs into a bowl and pour some of the hot liquid over them, “sit with me.” He finished saying as he moved the trey with two cups over to the sitting area, setting the trey onto the table lightly and taking a seat on the chair across from the couch and looked back towards me, his eyes sparking again.
A breeze circled around me, my feet shuffling towards the couch and sitting down softly, memorized by his eyes. Placing my nervous hands into my lap, playing with my hands.
‘What are you nervous for’ I scolded myself quietly.
Oliver has placed a cup in front of me, leaning back taking a sip of his cup, with a smirk teasing the corner of his lip, “I guess we should talk.” He said casually, as if he wasn’t surprised we were sitting here right now.
My head managed to nod slightly at him, I reached forward making sure not to break eye contact from Oliver.
“The contract between my parents stated I,not anyone else, were to expose you to what I am. A witch.” He stated, his tone even, voided of emotion. His eyes deepened into their amber color. “I was sent away to learn to control myself, unfortunately I was born with more power than most witches ever achieve in their life times.” He continued, taking another sip from his cup.
A calmness washes over me after I took a few more sips from the cup.
“Your parents thought I used magic on you... the day they caught us.” He explained, dropping his gaze from mine as the fire in his eye dimmed, “I didn’t. I never would..” he starting shaking his head. “But they are gone. I don’t have to hide who I am, you don’t have to stay with me if you don’t want... you have a choice now, Ry” his head slightly lifting as his voice broke off, making eye contact with me once more. I melted into his caramel eyes once more.
I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t feel nervous or shocked at what he told me.
It was almost like what he said explained a lot of what I felt was missing for years. It made everything make sense.
I held my cup up slightly, “what is this” I said in almost a whisper, a sad smile crossed his face before he cleared his throat, “it’s just to help ease your heart and help you sleep.. I don’t want you to feel alone with this heartache..” he said taking a sip from his cup, finishing it.
“It has little magic to it, it’s mostly just calming herbs.” He said before he stood up, coming and sitting next to me.
I felt my cheeks flush and took a sip of my cup. “Thank you,” I started to say, “why did my parents want to keep it a secret, if they were just going to give me away to you anyways?” I asked him curiously. He sighed before wrapping his arm around my shoulders and placing my cup on the table, pulling me into him.
“They got scared of what you’d encounter, but I’ve promised I will never leave you, I will never allow harm to come to you.” He said sternly, “They didn’t trust me enough to. My parents can only do so much convincing, I’m only a couple years older than you..” he finished, I looked up into his eyes, the hurt running through them. I through my leg over his lap and positioned myself on top of him. Kissing him gently, “I want you. I’ve never questioned it, even after learning that I was made for you.” I said against his lips. Hearing the last part of my sentence, he tightened his grip around my waist and kissed my with a burning fire, making me need him more. My tongue slipped into his mouth, savoring his masculine taste.
I pulled away to catch my breath, taking in his beautiful features. His hand going to my face caressing my cheek with his thumb.
“Will you tell me everything?” I asked him, trying to hide how anxious I felt about being told.
He nodded, his jaw tightening before he leaned in taking me into another passionate kiss.
