CHAPTER 11
The question flustered Tara. First, she still had a hard time believing that Mr. Obnoxious was related to Zoey’s fiancé. Tara had video chatted with Zoey and Dex a few times and had found Dex to be an absolute darling and a gentleman. How could they be brothers?
And now, trust Zoey to have noticed they’d arrived at the same time. Nothing could get past that girlfriend of hers.
“No,” she said. “Well, yes. I mean—”
“I gave her a ride from the airport,” Rex said. “It just happened that way.”
“But I didn’t know he was coming to the wedding—or that he had any relation to you all,” Tara clarified. “There was only one rental car left at the airport, and we decided to share.”
“Yeah, right,” Rex muttered under his breath. Tara shot him a dark look.
“Interesting,” Zoey said quietly
