CHAPTER 14 “Wow! This place is beautiful!” Tara exclaimed as she looked around the main house at Dexin Ranch. They’d spent the rest of Saturday with the Dexingtons and had even gone to church with them on Sunday for a thanksgiving service, then taken a tour bus around the city for a bit of sightseeing. It’d been so much fun, and Grandma Helen had been a hoot. Now they’d arrived back at the ranch, and even though Tara was exhausted, the excursion had been worth it. She hadn’t known what to expect at the ranch, but she hadn’t been prepared for the beautiful architecture of the log-and-stone home she’d just stepped into. Every furnishing in the space had either a log or stone element, and both had been blended seamlessly to create a rustic yet modern masterpiece that was warm and inviting.
