CHAPTER 20
Rex hadn’t been listening in on the conversation around the dinner table. His mind was still preoccupied with his possible attraction to Tara. Watching her eat had only made it worse, since Rex loved a woman with a healthy appetite. So it had taken him a second to register that his name had been mentioned.
“What?” Maybe he hadn’t heard properly.
“Remember Miss Prissy?” Dex asked.
Rex sure did. The woman loved her gossip, but she’d always been a good-natured soul.
“She’s opened a matchmaking agency,” Dex said. “And given how Zoey and I successfully got together, she reached out to us to co-chair a singles mixer event. Unfortunately, I’m super busy these days, and with Zoey starting at the ER center, it’s next to impossible for us to handle it.”
